i live in ny and i want to but a car. can i pay for the insurance with credit card?

Yes, most companies allow you to pay with a credit card. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

It depends on the company. Some take credit cards, some don't. It will likely have to be done on the internet (Progressive takes credit card payments) or on the phone directly to the company. If you have an agent and want to pay THEM, they won't be able to take the credit card unless they go on the internet and make the payment to the company there, which you would be able to do yourself.

Nowadays,many insurance companies will accept payment thru your credit card. At the time of enrollment,just fill out an authorization form allowing the company to make a deduction on the day you started your coverage.

Yes, depending on the company. Alot of company's now offer, for your to either by the policy online, or thru an agent, using a cc.. I know that progressive, geico, esurance allow u to pay with cc.
