If the companies had permissible purpose to pull your reports, disputing the legitimate inquiries could have repercussions. (all of which would be harder to deal with than living with the inquiries)

The CRA's may place fraud alerts on your reports.
The companies that you have credit with may rate jack you, may credit limit decrease you or may close your accounts.

The second the company pulled your report, it lowered your score. As time goes by you will gain the lost points bit by bit.

At 6 months, the inquiries do not keep your scores down quite as much. At one year, the inquiries have no impact on your scores.

Many times the credit card companies overlook inquiries that are one year or older. Mortgage lenders and/or vehicle lenders may still look at the old inquiries.

Disputing inquiries carries to much risk - my advice - don't do it.
