Can someone tell me what flirting is and how I could recognize it?

there are many different kinds of flirting.

first, there's the

"Oh my gosh! Shut up! You did not just say that!"
*playfully hits the guy*
"You suck!"
"No you suck!"

then there's the

"Oooh I love your buttons, Jake!"
"But they're not as pretty as your dress, Christy."
"Awww you rock."
"I know I do."


then, of course
*skis down a hill*
*"accidentally" slams into the guy"
they fall on top of each other, and have conversations like the ones above.

and last but not least.

*girl drops a pencil on the ground*
"Oh Jake, I couldn't possibly lift that pencil on my own! Do it for me!"
As he reaches down, the girl smacks on a thick coating of lip gloss, and as he stands back up, she makes sure they make contact of some sort(ie skin brushes, they bump into each other, or she brushes his hand as he gives her the pencil)


you can probably tell that I have some annoyingly flirtatious friends.

but basically, flirting is just being very friendly. complimenting, smiling, making eye contact, but mostly finding flirty ways to beat each other down or compliment each other, depending on what your style is.

I can recognize it whenever other people do it. Just can't seem to do it myself, unfortunately.

when yu are attracted to someone you give them signals of this attraction like complementing them smiling at them staring into their eyes longer than neccessary, being cheeky all signs that there is an attraction there
