Going deaf - absolute bullshit. Tell your fried to learn something about the anatomy of the ear before telling lies.

You can faint from any piercing. Make sure you eat about an hour before the piercing. The piercer will have you sit on the bed for about 10 mins after. Tell them if you feel light headed, they will give you a cookie or some juice.

Most piercings don't bleed, if they do, it doesn't last long.

Pain is relative; different for everyone.

Make sure you go to a reputable studio, not to the mall. Piercings need to be done with a needle, not a gun.

A tragus piercing is generally nothing to worry about. The area bleeds very little in most cases. I have never heard of anyone experiencing complications as severe as deafness. It can be a little painful, but honestly I would consider it to be one of the more comfortable ones as the tragus has no nerve endings of its own.

Congratulations on your new piercing. I hope you enjoy it!

that's a whole lot of nothing that's just going to scare you. it does hurt, i won't lie to you, but it's not unbearable. if concentrate of your breathing (don't hold your breath) while it's being pierced and be sure to eat something beforehand then you should be fine. if you're nervous that you may faint, bring some chocolate or a mountain dew with you. you feel faint if your sugar drops, either of these will help bring it back up and you'll feel better. also, be sure to strictly follow your piercer's aftercare instructions.

enjoy your new piercing. :)

theres always a risk of going deaf but this is VERY VERY RARE! and yes piercigs do bledd. but they will make sure you stop bleeding before they let you leave the shop. and yes with pierceings you can faint. but if you would liek to minimize this risk make sure you eat some foods (especially sugary foods) before going to get pierced. it helps alot. i got my rook pierced whit is right above it and i bled alot but they made sure i was good to go b4 i left. it was fine though =] dont worry abotu twhat your friend says. just to to an expereinced piercer and you will be fine. nothing is as ever as bad as it seems.

ok - i had this peirced (and i have many others) and this is the worst one - my ear bled for about 15 minutes and it is so hard to get to sleep because the pain is constant for about 2 days - then you dont feel anything :) - it goes away quick - so it is really hard the first two days - but then you forget its even there :)
