Thanks for your answers! Finally managed to find a post office that was open; I thought they would all be shut on sunday. FYI WH Smiths in Hammersmith has a PO that is open til 3.30 on a sunday

Some travel agents carry passport application forms
Here is a list, it is mainly post offices but there is several travel agents

Sunday???? I believe this offices are all closed on Sunday. Did you look on the Internet? There is perhaps the applications and you can just fill out and take there tomorrow.

Go to the Passport Office tomorrow, get a form, fill it in with photo etc, hand it in, pay your money and Bob's your uncle - well, maybe he is. Of course, you have to be British.

It's all on the internet. Just fill in and send in (together with the with the passport fee of course). Just done it myself. Works fine.
