We just paid $70 for 6 applications of Frontline for Dogs & Puppies. If it is worth the exrta money, can I buy it any cheaper?

Ok folks, I'm going to let you in on a little secret, read the ingredients on your flea and tick control. It is the same thing that is used on horses and cattle. Go to the livestock supply store and buy a bottle for a fraction of what you are now paying. Pick up a syringe without a needle while you are there and use it to apply. Just watch the percentage and amount. I have been doing it for years. Don't use it on your cats though.

Another pet source you may want to try is
www.jefferspet.com
It is definitely worth the extra money. If fleas are a mild case, the Frontline works UP to 3 months, so you may not need to apply once a month.

i don't know but it is some awesome stuff. i rescued a chocolate lab last year who was left inside a pen all summer with no food and what water she did have was green with mosquito larveas in it. she was infested with fleas. i took her to the vet and surprisingly she didn't have any parasites but she was infested with fleas. after she got a little stronger we used frontline on her and she had no fleas at all after about the third bath. the ones she had were already dead. but we continue to use it and still no fleas.
i do believe you can get it cheaper somewhere else. we only pay 20 dollars for 3 apps.
just to let you know "Dixie" has gone from 30 pounds to 63 pounds and is healthy. she is the best dog i have ever had.

I think Frontline is the best there is but there are several other brands that are similar.

Try shopping around. The site below may help you as it sells many brands and is affiliated to all of the main online pet supply places. Just check them all out for best price.

I know it is expensive, but worth every cent! I also suggest Fosters and Smith.
