Keeping your face clean is only a small, but important, part of treating acne.

You can treat acne externally or internally. Externally you keep your face clean, use soap that is non-comedogenic, use an astringent on your skin after you wash and if you use any skin moisturizers, use ones that are "water based, non-comedogenic." When a pimple pops out you can put tea tree oil on it and it will shrink it (dry it up) rather quickly.

Internally, your doctor could prescribe low grade antibiotics over a long period of time or Accutane (the perfect treatment to rid one of acne forever).

If your acne is severe and you can afford it, get on Accutane. It's a 3-6 month treatment that will clear your face forever. But for occassional acne a doctor may not treat you with Accutane, it's for severe acne.

first off, dont believe some of the idiots who dont take people's questions seriously. i have been fighting with acne for as long as i could remember. it started when i was a teenager (very acute) and now i have it but mildly and almost unnoticed. u need to go to a dermatologist to give u the appropriate creams or even some antibiotics. until u do that, go to a pharmacy and get some washing lotion, usually gel for sensitive skin. dont use regular soap, coz it can make ur acne worse (it did with me), use this gel every morning and evening, and i hope things will work out fine.
Good luck!! :)
by the way, dont wash ur face more than twice a day coz excessive washing may cause ur skin to b greasier, and as a result, produce more zits

I would ask your doctor if there are any other treatments or medication you can use to help reduce it.
