The Church leader I knew best was George Carey, who used to be Archbishop of Canterbury. He had a very deep personal faith. I think some Church leaders allow their faith to get submerged in long words and dull services, but most of them have a strong relationship with God

They have not always been 'leaders'.....it has been said that a vicar lives in a vicarage, and a rector lives in wreckage!
Remember, too, that Lambeth Palace and the Vatican are both workplaces as well as homes.

It is not for us to say, as each persons faith is between them & God.
OK it does does not look good that these organisations leaders seem to live a different life to the rest of us, but they and to start at the bottom of the ladder and have worked their way to that position. Also do not forget that these people are seen to be God representative on Earth.

I always feel if they could have made it big in the Acting Profession they would have. As it is they can dress up and stand on a platform and have an audience. As for their belief in god.....Well the pay`s not bad, complete with housing thrown in......Nice one!!!!!!!!!!!

" Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. "

I don't think they could do what they do without believing, and you could never prove to them that any part of their faith is wrong

Yes, they do. That does not mean that they do not hate him.
