I read in a folk remedy book to take tiny spoonful of applecider vinegar like every hour after food poisoning I think it was within the first 24 hrs because it said you can't keep anything else down. I also have heard and used honey mixed with apple cider vinegar and warm water first thing in the morning to fight off germs in the body.

I had food poisoning from chicken nuggets at a party when i was about 6, it took me two weeks to feel completely better, i guess i got the bad one and it might have affected me worst because i was young. It is supposed to be worst in old and very young people. Just keep resting and drinking plenty of fluids, you shouldnt eat anything until you feel completely better because it will come back, mine came back about five times because its hard to tell if you're totally better or not, if you do feel hungry just eat something dry like a piece of toast, hope you feel better soon, good luck! =)

it depends what type it is, there are a few, but normally a couple of days to get rid of all the pains if you have had it bad. It may take some time to get better completely though. I had food poisining from chicken and the stomach cramps took about 2 days to go and it took me about a week to feel right again. I felt weak and tired.

I had food poisoning once. The doctor took 2 days to determine what medicine to give. After taking the right medicine, I took one day to stop the diarrhea. Altogether I stayed 4 days in the hospital. After discharged, it took me one week to regain my health and energy.

Depends what sort of food poisoning; so there's no fixed answer.

Do the ususal; drink lots of liquids, take electrolytes if you can and eat simple food when you feel like it. Rest lots, don't cook food for anybody and pay extra attention to washing your hands - mainly because you don't want to be giving it to somebody else.

It will take a couple of days with the proper medicine. My daughter got salmonella poisoning due to playing with some ducks at a friends house and it was terrible. I ended up taking her to the E.R. She had blood in her stool and had terrible stomach pains. It took her a couple of days to start feeling better. Good luck.
