Isn't it like saying, "Your dream job will eventually land on your lap without doing any work whatsoever"?

Is it just a myth perpetuated by the media, or is there some truth in it?

i guess this is another example of one of the many quirks of life that we humans fail to comprehend why and how it happens (sticks tongue out at scientists), and if its not a well known fact, chances are it won't be so popular. its not a general habit of human beings to make stuff up and pass it down for generations if there wasn't (at least) someae speck of truth in it. :)

i guess its just the same as when you lose something- you never expect to find it in the last place you look at.

well, almost everytime that is. =/

and, media? haha. i doubt "The mass media" existed way back in Shakespeare's times right?

:)

I really don't think a dream job is acquired that way for most common folk.
I am aware that I always find something in the last place I look. Whether this is due to the fact that I no longer need to look or just I search in the LAST place I could think of.
As far as love finding you, I have no clue on that. I think it takes a bit of time to develop love. So in that case, not looking hard for it, may better your chances.

No it has a lot of truth in it.

How many times have you been out on the pull an got nothing, an yet when your not trying or aren't looking people are all over you.

Like most problems the harder you struggle the harder the problem will be. When you relax the problem sorts itself with minimul difficulty.
When your trying to hard your forcing love an thats not how it goes.

There is some truth in it. Because if you're not looking for love you can keep an open mind, and whoever comes along, you will give them an equal chance to get to know you, and eventually you will find love!

There is probably some truth to it and there will always be some people who have found love accidentally or whatever, but I do think that generally you have to be looking for love to find it.

They say that because alot of people are so deseperte to find love they end up in the wrong relationships and when they stop looking they meet someone and fall in love unexpectely.

Both really; the reasoning behind it is that once you stop making "desperate" efforts to find a partner, then you become more relaxed, more natural and, more importantly, more yourself.

In reality, well, I suppose it helps - but it can happen at any time really.

I think that there is a bit of truth in it. I don't know why but it does just seem to happen that way

if true love finds you, I believe that your dream work will land on your lap without doing any work.

nope...more like "a watched pot never boils" if you relax about the relationship thing you are a less tense person...therefore allowing the inner you to shine and attract somebody like a beacon :) Find something to do that will divert your attention and it will happen naturally
