Thats very normal for a little puppy to whine because she is missing her Mother. Easy solution, place an alarm clock in her box or whatever she sleeps in and she will think it is the Mothers heartbeat and she will sleep soundly!

Your new puppy will feel very strange and frightened having been removed from mum and littermates. Comfort it, interact with it. Provide it with its own safe place to go to - a comfortable dog bed with a 'companion' . I've given all my puppies a soft toy to cuddle up to. Don't leave it on its own for long periods. The clock in the bed (securely wrapped ) works too - I've done it a number of times.
Give her lots of love and she'll soon settle. If not a visit to the vet will determine if there is a health problem.

If you pay attention to why she is doing this then you will be able to stop it. There is something the puppy needs and should have.

I have had many and never had that problem. It just might be that it is taken away from its mother too soon. Puppys do need a lot of attention just like you did when a baby.

You didn't say how old she was. You have to remember you took this puppy away from his brothers and sisters who s he snuggle with all her life. A mommy who use to make sure she was warm and safe. Now the puppy doesn't have that. Now it is your job to make sure she is has comfort, food, and made to feel safe. Once she feels safe and love and know she will be taken care of she will stop. Just show your puppy what she left behind. Don't be ignoring her.

I would put an old jumper of yours down for her to lie on. Something that has your scent on it. Keep an eye on her, soothe her with words but don't comfort her too much as it only reinforces that particular behaviour. She'll soon settle down.

Mostly, enjoy your puppy and don't forget to train her so she will be a good adult dog.

comfort her man. she needs love and compastion. if she whines or yelps give her a snuggle. or food, or water. or maybe she's stuck in soething and needs help. for the first few weeks, let her snuggle with you in your bed. maybe she feels lonely. you might wanna think about getting an older dog like one that is old or something.

You shouldnt totally ignore, but you shouldnt go to her every time she does it as the pup will do it all the more for the attention ,as this is the first time she has been away from her Mum and the rest of the litter, make sure she is comfortable and loved and the rest comes naturally in time :)

She is detached from her family - and on top of that she is probably feeling pretty cold.

Don't ignore her, comfort her - but it depends on how much contact you want to have with her.

I had a Collie Cross who lived until he was just over eighteen years old. He did the same thing - but I decided, since I was on my own, to allow him in my bedroom. He slept on my pillow and curled up around my head - and I never heard a peep!

This was his comfort - but it will be up to you to decide how you want to play it!

My dog is three now and he has only just stopped crying!. If puppy is crying only give her attention when she stops - then she will realise crying doesn't get attention - being a good quiet girl does!. Bless em!
