5.And the cattle, He has created them for you; in them there is warmth (warm clothing), and numerous benefits, and of them you eat.
6. And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning.
7. And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
8. And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge.
9. And upon Allâh is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind).
10. He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture;

I like to say it this way. Our Creator made our World to be like a Vacation Spot for His spirits.
So we could come here and enjoy the beauty of the colors. The Blue Oceans, White-capped Mountains, Green of the Forests. Watch the animals play!
But our spirits can bond with anything and experience what it is like to be that thing. There is a lot of "space" in between the particles that make up the atoms that make up the material World. And our spirits stayed too long enjoying these things, and got trapped here by the forces that create our material World.
When Jesus Christ ascended, it says He took "captivity", captive. Or helped us to break free from this world.
Everyone says why did God make bugs? But we should ask, why did he make us? The human form was brought here for our spirits to live in because we screwed-up as spirits.
Everything in this world works together in Harmony.
Even bacteria builds up, and destroys, (recycles) things, to keep the Cycle of Life going. Birth, death, and rebirth.
It is what we know as the Food Chain. All things
contributing to the well-being of other things, and keeping any one form of Life from dominating any of the others.
Until man comes along!

For me its in this order:
Numba 1: Companionship
Numba 2: Food
Animals are part of nature, and just in case u havent noticed, humans are part of the animal kingdom as well. So if animals didnt exist , why should we? And what is our purpose on earth if animals didnt have one.
(It has been proven how effective animals are at calming people eg: children with behavioral problems /who were severely traumatized often get over it because of a relationship with a pet)

Chapter 2 of Genesis says that God created the animals one by one as helpers for Adam, but finding them all insufficient opted instead to make Eve from Adam's rib. The obvious how-do-you-make-a-lady-from-a- rib paradox aside, how did God expect the slug, the giraffe or the whale would make good helpers? How did he expect them to mate? Does each animal therefore represent God's failure? And why did he try so many radically different designs before ultimately settling on one that was nearly identical to the original.
Sorry, that probably wasn't the answer you were looking for. Also, don't eat animals, they didn't do anything to deserve it. Peace.

Like crops, animals are supposed to increase the typical progress of all residing matters on this planet. Every animal has a intent to growth their species by way of replica and furnish nourishment and development of the entire residing on this planet adding men and women. Start a record of animals that rely on crops or different animals to outlive. Each of those animals give a contribution drastically to the development of our mom earth and all that are living inside it. Hope that is helping!

I believe that some species are here to perform maintenance on the earth , itself. For example, you have tiger and lions that eat the weak animals. In the ocean, you have many, many species that just simply filter the water to make it cleaner by the way they eat. Scientist say that TREES produce oxygen for earth. I could go on and on. BUT, I am like everyone else when it comes to .......why are there mosquitoes and such other aggravating insects.

God created everything for his glory. Animals reflect his creation qualities. Also, he made man for his glory and gave us animals to care for and enjoy. Also, we cannot say that we do not know what death is, like Adam and Eve could have denied had they not seen dead animals. However, the Bible says that all who love God will obey him.
Let every breathing thing praise Jah!!

They are here for many reasons, we might not know some of the reasons.
They are here to provide food for you and me, also to provide food for other animals. They are also here as means to provide for your clothing as you might know that wool cannot be cultivated - it is from the animal skin, there are also other things that are essential for human life which are not cultivated but are taken from animals.
Animals are also here to add diversity to the creation of God. They are here to make nature look as beautiful and attractive as it is!
