I was thinking more in terms of internal business factors like in research and education. A couple of your answers have given me good avenues of thought. Yes P'ing off foriegn people over religion is not a good business plan either.

No, I don't see how religion is to blame for this issue. Narrow mindedness of Amerrogance is not based on religion, but on personal values. I've seen many, many Christians who are very open to working in the global marketplace as well as some who are not. But since those ratios are very similar to what I've seen in the "non-Christian" population, I don't thing religion is the culprit here.

Instead, Amerrogance is the belief that our country sets the values and standards for all other cultures and that we are better than the others.

To succeed in the international markets, we have to think from a business perspective. It's about looking at ways to be the least expensive and/or deliver results that no other company can deliver.

some of America's bests assets are based in country's such as the U.A.E - an Islamic country, Ecuador - a predominantly Catholic country, so i would disagree with that philosophy. Also whos religious attitudes are we talking about - America's, The West or the world in general?

Actually the Bible tells us to not do business with people that are not Christians. I think that the reason that we are having trouble is because we are not obediant to the Lord. We Have everything we need in this wonderful Country. It is the promised Land. I wish we would not do business with other nations that are not Christian. I know that you think that it is the Christians doing the damage, but you are very wrong.

if an number of countries who are alienated by neoconservative politics empowered by a religious agenda decide to switch to trading in euros instead of dollars, it will dangerously undermine the American economy. a number of countries are considering doing this. funnily enough Iraq converted to euros just before the invasion, they refused to accept dollars for their oil: they do now though.
