I've liked her for a while and she never talks to me, but my friends say that she likes me too but i dont know if they are joking. But we use to be friends before and then when i realised i liked her she stopped talking to me and it was always arwkard around her

When I like a woman and want to find out if she likes me I have a plan, talk to her. Start with simple conversations about something you both have in common. Maybe ask her to join you for lunch or coffee and then move up to going to the movies.
If you are going out in a group that is always a good way to ask her out, say a group of friends are going to where ever would you like to come along.
Give that a go and see you go.

You really do just need to go talk to her because your friends might be just saying that she likes you so you can make a fool of yourself.But you never know the reason she isn't talk to you that much is probly because she doesn't think you truly like her and her friends are just messing with her.Go ahead and take a chance and see if she's feelin you too.

If there's a chance of talking to her alone, tell her you're confused about what's happened to your friendship. Tell her you like her but you don't want to lose her as a friend. It might be a relief to her because she might be having trouble finding the right words too.

She may be shy, give her some room for some time and take things a little slow....she may have not expected you to feel that way....dont let it ruin your friendship.
Even though she is avoiding you, it doesn't mean that she dislikes you. It most likely means that she need a bit of time for herself as she feels kinda awkward and shocked..
