me and my other half are looking to get married in Florida (we live in the UK) I dont know what the laws are like over there i was wondering for as much help as possible. I also wondering if after you are married do you get proof of the marriage ie a document of proof so we can prove to our authorites we got married?

A marriage license is applied for in the county you wish to marry in. The officiant and 2 witnesses sign the license. Then the document goes to the clerk of the county court who processes and makes the document legal. They send the couple a copy of the marriage certificate to prove you are married.
