some are and some aren't. I know that when I was in France and making up baby bottles I was faced with this problem. You can't use the water in the taps there because it is not good for drinking. I found that the supermarket own brands (cheap ones) were the best. What you need to look for is the sodium (or Na as a chemical symbol) The lower the Na or Sodium level in the water the better. I found that Volvic was quite high whereas Evian was lower. Hope this helps.

Any reason not to give him tap water?
You know what is in it, you get a yearly report from the facility.
And it has fluoride that helps with teeth growth and development.
Mineral water may be governed by the same rules that govern city water.
But who knows what is in the bottle?

There is nothing wrong in giving your child water. My son was born with an allergy to milk and dairy so the health visitor advised me to give him soya and the odd bottle of water as long as it was boiled first and left to cool, it also helps children with constipation.

Hope this helps xx

If you are unsure about the water in the area eg if your abroad then use as a short term solution but the best thing to do is boil tap water and let it cool then let your child drink it keeps in the fridge for 24hrs

Then there's the other side of the coin: tap water is fluoridated. Apparently, that's very dangerous too. You wouldn't know who to believe in today's world.

just use boiled water, or boil the mineral water, if your worried about it not being filtered, or giving them tap water.
