I'm sure God has a special "hell" set aside where Christians can immerse themselves in their dogma for eternity.

These questions are fairly ridiculous. If God is so wonderful how could he condemn people to hell, which means He can't exist. Really. Try this, if you were a father and your child was rebelling would you allow the child to remain in your house? Your answer is yes, but perhaps you have no children or you don't know the damage that kind of enabling can cause to a child. No matter how much you love them there comes a point when you have to draw a line and hold it for the sake of the child.
God is the ultimate Father. He also wants everyone to stay in his home and be part of His family. However, if your going to reject Him and rebel against Him constantly He has to draw a line too. When you actually have to face that time you will understand all that you have rejected. The result will be a separation that can not be breached. You will spend eternity regretting your life.

God has shown mercy for 2000 yrs. What parent would wait that long, & I would say if you had kids & they were about 18-20 & you all fought all the time & your kids disobey are the time, You will say Get out, or move out, But God has given us 2000 yrs to repent, & yet many has not, Now to answer your qestion Yes God will cast you into the lake of fire. Rev.20:13-15 But the only reason he will, is that YOU chose to be cast into it.

Sales pitch, using the word if, and if there was a god and if we are form monkeys and if it was alien creation. We can if the hell out of anything, If I told you not to do something and you did and you were handed in front of a group that was shouting I told you so now your going to HELL. As a young kid what message would that be, ok not take 6 million kids and what would the message be, ok keep thing until you get to present day.
Any Idea has to be sold, and religion is just that an Idea.

Very good, loved JackBaur's arguments, but it's not a reason to throw Christianity & God out the window. It's just bad theology we need to toss out.
God is a king, and His own are His subjects, who enjoy a Father-kids relationship with Him.
Those outside of that kingdom hate him, or don't care about him, and just don't belong in his kingdom. And they will come to him for judgement after death.
Try reading the Bible from that point of view and see if makes sense.

in my opinion - you are right - God has given us choice and freewill to EXPERIENCE what we choose to - with his love and blessing - unconditional love is not given on the understanding that if you make a bad choice you get thrown into a lake of boiling lava! that's just silly!
if he wanted the whole - do as i say or i will throw you into a fire forever.. blah blah blah - then he would have created a load of robots doing exactly as he said - and therefore obviously without hypocrisy and to be honest i have yet to see any response from a so called christian that is totally christian - hope this makes sense! lol

Some people don't know better than to play with matches.
Playing with sin is the same way.

Yes, well said.
"If you love someone, threaten to burn them in hell for eternity."
- God
"I could prove my existence, but then nobody would get to go to hell."
- God
"Go to Hell."
- God
"If you don't worship me, I'll force you to live in a lake of fire for eternity. But I love you. No, really..."
- God
"Worship me, or I'll torture you forever."
-God
"It's the best I could do. I'm only omnipotent, omniscient, and immortal"
- God
"Love means forgiving even those who don't worship you."
- Man

Ah but the god of the bible is a petty dictator, not a very nice model for a supreme being. Other gods in other religions do not act this way.
