OKay me and my ex broke up about a year ago. we are still in love, it just was not working out because of out 3 hour distance. When I bring up us getting back together even me moving out there, he doesnt think its a good idea. Basically I'm torn,he claims he loves me and says he wants to be with me again soon but when I try yo make it easy he backs off. Should I just throw the towel in and let him be?

Which makes it confusing is he always calls me (such as today) and tells me he misses me and wants me to come see him.

YeS, i mean seriously if he does not give an effort to keep your relationship with him together, then why should you. Show him that you no longer care about him, then he'll come crawling back to u.
well thats what i would do , but if he really love you he would somehow find a way to make things work.

It sounds like he is not committed in the way that you are. i think u need 2 call his bluff and let him be. if he really wanted to be with you he would do anything to make it happen. you deserve that so dont waste your time hanging around for a guy that claims he loves you but wont actually show it. life is short and there are some amazing guys out there. there is no need to feel torn. if you cut him off and he really does love you- he will come running. i guarantee it. he is loving the fact that you are pining after him. dont wait around for him. go out and have fun and let him come to you. i promise, as soon and he realises you are having fun etc, if he loves you, he will be all over you like a rash :)

Save yourself a lot of heartache and money from that plane ticket. I dated a guy who lived 12 hours from me. He started mentioning me moving out there, and when I finally agreed to do it, he backed off. Two months later we broke up. If he's not jumping at the chance to have you out there, he's not going to jump at all. If you do tell him to disregard the offer to move out there and he comes back later on wanting you to come, tell him you need to think about it for a few. Make him come back to you, and make sure he's serious before you do anything.

For now, I would say try to salvage a friendship if you can do that...otherwise, cry through a few boxes of tissues, pick yourself up, and find another guy who lives in your area who will be thrilled to have the chance to be with you.

make a surprise visit, actually go through and DO what YOU want and if he doesn't like it, then he isn't as commited as you are.

Test the waters first, and don't commit yourself incase he flakes.

Whichever course you choose, good luck and choose it soon and wisely before you waste anymore time wondering.

Life.... is too short for silly games like this :)

He probably has someone else now and wants to keep you on the side just in case it doesn't work out. Dump him and move on.

Yes!! If he was in love with you.. he should have said yes in an instant.. He must be hiding something.
