by the way.... i was brought up in LA and then left for college, then came back a few years ago....don't do it, LA sucks the living life out of you. I'm trying to get out again.

Nicki A;
Do you remember the song "Midnight Train to Georgia, by Gladys Knight. The very first line goes " L.A. proved too much for the man". It goes on to tell the story of a man who came to Los Angeles with the dream of fame and fortune, but after much failure and disappointment returmed to the city he came from. (as told by the woman who loved him).
What I am suggesting is that Los Angeles is a large, crowded, and VERY expensive place to live. Many people come here, love it, and decide that this is where they want to live. Others come here and are disillusioned, disappointed and leave.
I know that you feel it is just so opressive living in your parents home, and you despirately want to go out on your own. Often the things we do when we feel desperate are not well thought out, and don't turn out the way we want then to.
You sound like a very intelligent, motivated young woman, and you would probably be very sucessful in Los Angeles, but if you can afford to, I would strongly recommend that you come out to visit for a week first. Get the lay of the land, find out what the different areas are like, what the job prospects REALLY are, the real cost of living, etc. That way if you change your mind and decide that L.A. is not for you, you will still have enough money to go home on. Good Luck on your decision.
PS: The limit on your credit card would only last you about a month and a half out here, if even that long. Then you might have to start doing things you don't want to do to survive. Think about it.
