I'm a Respiratory Therapist. After reading your question, and the previous answers... all I can say is, go talk to your doc. It could be any number of things. It may be nothing serious, but it's better to know for sure.
Some of the advice I read on here amazes me!

Could be one or more of several respiratory ailments or could also be a cardiac problem. You could have an infection or fluid buildup in the lung or pleural cavity, or around the heart. You really should see a doctor to find out what is going on and get some kind of treatment started to take care of the problem.

It could be asthma, caused by an allergy. It might be worthwhile washing your bedding at high temperature and replacing feather pillows in case you're allergic to house dust mite, or cutting out cheese from your diet. Or it could be bronchitis. But nobody on Answers can really tell you. Go to a doctor.

Your problem seems like an ILD (interstitial lung disease), though you should never take anything too seriously on a forum.

You should go see a doctor before it gets even worse (and you may die from hypoxia).
