I bought a spagetti squash for the first time. I want to try new foods. If anyone has either cooking or raw recipes, please send them way. Thanks

* cut squash in half
*rub inside with butter and salt and pepper
*insert in a shallow baking dish, with a little water covering the bottom
* cover with foil
*bake at 350 for approx. 30 minutes
You will know when its cooked by using a fork inside and it comes out in spegetti like strands
* scrap out the strands and put in a bowl
Now make a quike pesto sauce
In seperate bowl whisk together:
*1/2 cup olive oil
*a handful of chopped basil,parsley (fresh is better, but dry ok to)
1/2 teaspoon of finely diced garlic
* 1/2 cup of grated parmesean or romano cheese
*salt and pepper to taste
whisk together and pour onto squash
mix squash and pesto sauce together and serve
grate a little cheese on top of each plate
(note: pesto sauce usually contains pine nuts, you could add if you want, just crush them and add them to your sauce)
I usually don't add them cause I never have them around, and it tastes fine without them.)
Good luck!!!

Halve squash and remove and discard seeds. Place squash halves, cut side down, in a large baking dish and add 1 cup of water or until 1 inch deep. Using a fork, prick the skin all over. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until tender.
Remove the squash pulp from shell by scraping the inside of squash with a fork. Toss squash pulp with butter and salt.
