Doctor's treating me with anti-biotics, but it's not helping. Do you know of any other remedies for this problem?

I just got over the same thing! It got much worse before it got better(I lost almost all my hearing in one ear)and took along time to clear up...did he give you any nasal sprays? They worked wonders for me along with the antibiotic...feel better,I feel your pain.

Quite often anti-biotics do not help this problem because it may not be an infection . The eustachian tube is prone to congestion. An ear, eye, nose and throat specialist will tell you that, not a regular MD.
If you are having sharp stabbing pains in your eustachian tube it is possibly linked to congestion from allergies & such.
Solving the allergy may help, or a decongestion pertinent to the eustachian tube/inner ear. An ear, eye, nose and throat specialist may agree with me.
