Warning signs of a stroke
* Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
* Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding

* Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
* Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
* Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
If you are parilized after the stroke I would assume that it can affect your swallowing.

Yes it can cause a problem with swallowing. My experience was that the person had to use a hand held suction device until able to swallow again.

I imagine you can have both at the same time. If the person survives the events rehabilitation will begin but I expect that the person will be scared.

My mother and grandfather both had numerous strokes before death and yes, it did effect both their abilities to swallow! They choke from the stroke damage!
