No best answer. Whatever makes all feel better is the best answer. Making sure that no one sleeps in a 'wet' spot is getting toward your best answer. What ever an individual falls asleep satified is the best answer. Not necessarily the best answer for both people.

Just use good ol soap and water. Stay away from douches! The vagina naturally cleanses itself so douches are unnecessary and often cause irritation and infection.
