The reason thyroid disease can be related to diabetes problems is when you have a underactive thyroid.
This causes you to metabolism to slow down, end result is gaining an excessive amount of weight, this can be prevented by taking prescribed thyroid medications and eating healthy, days of junk food are gone.
Here is a link that deals with diabetes and diet check it out.

Eating right, getting plenty of exercise and maintaining a healthy body weight should help prevent most people from getting diabetes. You didn't mention if there is a family history of diabetes. If there is, there may be little you can to to prevent it, though you can hopefully delay the onset by living well. I am one of those people that has a very strong family history and was highly unlikely to live a full life without developing diabetes at some point (I also have a family with a history of hypothyroidism, which I have as well). Talk to your doctor and ask for regular blood work to check for any changes in your blood glucose. If you do develop diabetes or even pre-diabetes, you can detect it quickly this way. Best wishes for a happy, healthy life.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I also have a strong history of diabetes in my family. Could never understand why my mother was so concerned about my weight! I always thought it was because I had Polio as a child, and she was just trying to make it easier for me to walk.

I knew my Grandmother had diabetes, and she controlled hers by what she ate, as it turned out, both of my grandmothers had diabetes.

My older sister was recently diagnosed with diabetes, I have had it for at least 15 years. My doctor says IF I lose 100 pounds he will take me off of insulin, he could have told me that sooner, and maybe I wouldn't weigh almost 300 pounds!

Due to the Polio, it is harder for me to get much exercise,
but I am anticipating losing that 100 pounds!

Exercise and good diet...that's about all you can do. Avoid eating too many refined foods and processed sugars and carbs as that will screw up your body's response to insulin over time. Good luck be blessed.
