wicca has no laws that say girls cant do anything, does not dictate dress, say girls and guys cant mix.


No arranged marraiges, no issues with sex in or out of marriage, no family honour notions, no problems with the body.


Just be nice to others and everythig is cool.


So why be part of a group that executes girls all over the world for dress code violations, having a boyfriend, making love, walking in the street etc.

And no I aint a wicca but see wicca/pagan/witcraft as the nicest relgion as none of the nastness in others certainly not islam the nasties and most restrictive.

While it is true that Wicca is nice to women, it is not the path for everyone. And having read some of the responses from the Muslim women here I would have to agree that it is the cultural aspect of SOME sects, not the religion itself. I would like to point out that there are SOME Christian sects that forbid women to cut their hair, wear any kind of makeup, wear any thing other than long skirts or dresses with long sleeves, drink alcohol, smoke, or even go swimming because part of their bodies would be exposed. They must always walk behind their husbands. Yet we do not base our opinion of all Christians on them do we? There are extremists everywhere.

A plus side is that modestly dressed women would not be gawked at and have a smaller chance of getting a stalker or something.
And um..we are allowed to walk in the streets..it's just tradition and NOT religion in some countries that prevents them from doing so. And I feel sorry for the females in those countries.

EDIT: Decency does have to do with how you dress. I've seen guys (non muslim) tell girls dressed skimpily to "put some clothes on". Decency can apply to personality and clothing...no one will give you full respect if you look like a ****. Look at rap videos for example, girls are wearing very little clothing..would you respect them ENTIRELY if one of them was your mom or sister? You could be nice and not bully, as you said, but you wouldn't be entirely decent. Some girls of course just don't care.
Obviously its in human nature to get attracted to guys. But all relationships under your control don't work out. Many girls here in the West "get laid" and end up pregnant and their boyfriends abandon them. And it does not matter really if you have love marriages or arranged ones..it all depends on the people in question.
And you can express yourself even if you are wearing a hijab. Ive seen rocker girls with hijabs on...its easy to accesorize and have a personal identity. Remember that Muslim girls don't have to go all out and wear a full black burka..they can wear western clothing with a scarf. It depends on your personal devotion and what is the norm wher eyou are living.
Anyway, modesty is the key.

My God - some of the links that you have put up are deeply, deeply disturbing. I couldn't bring myself to watch that stoning, although I know I should.

I am a witch myself, but seeing as we aren't into the business of recruiting, I'll say that witchcraft isn't necessarily an alternative to Islam - it's a very different kind of faith. I don't think that religions are interchangeable. Perhaps there are elements of Islam that echo for Muslim women - I wouldn't know.

Thank you so much for highlighting those links though. I'm going to do some more research about this - particularly about that poor child who was executed. Since she was mentally subnormal, and pregnant by her brother, I think it's probably fair to say she was raped. Good God.

Islam does support women and it is not an abusive religion.
believe it or not
women and men have the same rights
but men have more obligations.
meaning they are to sustain of the family
and support it financially.
The men's money has to go to the women, children and family
but if the woman has money she does not have to give it to her husband, father, brother, children etc..

Please, you have to understand that those countries claim to be ruling by Islamic law, but that is not Islamic law at all.
Looking in the Middle East, Africa, some European places is not the perfect example to see how Muslims are supposed to live.
In fact there are no places that actually live completely by Islamic law.
There is nothing in the Quran that says you must/should kill a girl, woman because dress code violations, having a boyfriend, making love, walking in the street etc. AT ALL.
maybe some of these things are against Islam but the punishment is between the person and God. He punishes people justly. They will either get their punishment in this life or in the next. But no one (according to Islam) has the right to punish people for the things you stated.
Please understand that just because one person does something (under the name of Islam, or Allah) doesn’t mean that it is correct or allowed. Arranged marriages are not allowed at all either.
People don’t understand that these things you see (arranged marriages, killing women for no reason) is why Islam came. It came to get rid of the dirty and ruthless lifestyles of the Arab pagans. They are the ones who did these things to women.
So part and most of the reason these things still happen is because they live by culture not Islam. Believe me, i feel so bad for those unfortunate women.
