laddoo, mysore pak, carrot halva, anything with badam in it, pal gova.. i could go on and on!! most of these can be taken on journeys as long as you put em in a cool place and wrap em in tissue or something. Careful though.. ants love picnics too!

I mostly love the halvas. Recently I had 'loki halva' for the first time. & I fell in love instantly. I also like my mother's Ras-Malaii. OMGz, thebest you'll ever eat. Anyway, as for your question, depends on whether you mean sweet as in desert or as in just 'sweets'. & also depends on the occassion. If it's a dinner party, we usually serve deserts after dinner before chai. But if it's a tea party or just some gathering, sweets like gulaab jaman, barfi etc. are served with chai. Personally, I don't know how you can eat mushy sweets & drink chaii at the same time, people seem to enjoy it. LOL. But then I don't like chaii. SO yeah. Unless it's gulabi chai ;)
