i am writing a piece of historical fiction for my own usage where, in one part, a character in canada gets a firearms acquisition certificate to hunt deer in the 1980s.

i was wondering if anyone in canada knows what the firearms acquisition certificates in canada looked like in the 80s. i know this was before they required a photo on the certificate.(that came about in the 90s and i believe the card then was green)...but as for the old 80s card....

1- what color was the card ? (i heard rumors that it was
orange)
2-what material was it made out of?
3-its size?
4-what info was written on it?
5-was there any logos/pics on the card?

6-thanks so much for anyone who helps out. hopefully someone recalls this obscure info

hi there,i am from waubaushene, ontario, canada,i have here in my hand an old fac,it is orangey brown in color in the, (looks like leather work in a band across the top)on the front.it is made of paper the same as our old drivers licence, it is 2 1/2 high by 3 1/2 long,on the front it has your name and address on the topright, next line down is social insurance number next down is drivers licence number, next line down is sectioned into 3 parts they are sex hieght and weight ,next down is your signature, on the left from the top is fee paid,$10.00 next down is birth date next down is eye color and last line is expiry date.on the back you have that orange brown leather work band from bottem to top on right and arcoss the top in this band you have the fac number in red, under this number on the right side you have printed this info.this certificate must be produced for inspection to the person from whom the firearm is acquired. in addition, if a restricted weapon is to be acquired, a permit to covey must be obtained from your local registrar of firearms. there are 2 more lines to the bottem first is the name of issuing agency next is the signature of the issuer and the date. in the back ground of this document printed all the way down the paper in light orange is firearms acquisition certificate, if you nead a pic send me your email address
