They say it does. I am 50 years old and my parents both smoked like chimneys my whole life -- when they quit I'd already moved out. They're both 80+ and (knock wood) have no lung problems, and neither do I.

I don't doubt that inhaling any kind of tiny particles day-in, day-out, is terribly bad for you, whether it is smoke or smog or dust of any kind. So, yes, I think 2nd hand smoke kills. But for some reason, some people seem immune even to 1st hand smoke. I hope scientists are working on that!

Medical research has shown that secondary smoke is as dangerous as the act of smoking itself. While some people react sooner to the hazzards of second hand smoke, everyone is at risk. I would like to see all tobacco products outlawed. None of it is safe to use. And before some smoker jumps my case for being a non smoker, I smoked for over 50 years. I quit in Jan 2000, but not soon enough. Both myself and my wife (a non smoker) have health issues related to smoking.

actually yes. my mother smokes about everyday. about 1-2 packs a day. my parents are divorced so im not around her much. but when i come around her...the house looks like clouds fell and came inside. it practically suffocates ur lungs. i had lived with my mom for a long time ...almost my whole life....and i used to get sick from breathing that stuff. when i was6...i had come home with a fever....because i got very sick from sitting in a car with my older sister who wouldnt let me roll the windows down. i heard that second hand smoke kills....and i think i heard that they r trying to pass a law that it is illegal for adults to smoke with children in the car. second hand smoke is almost as bad as smoking the cigarette itself.

also smoking can cause emphysema. thats a horrible disease and i never want to get it.

yup! Secondhand smoke not only contains nicotine but also any toxins exhaled by smockers. It might be serious than the smockers. And is possible for non smocker to get lung cancer with inhaled of secondhand smokes in long term condition. So walk away when someone smoke.

Despite claims by the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, and other major health organizations and anti-smoking nazis that thousands upon thousands of people die each year from secondhand smoke, they are unable to name even one single person who has died due to secondhand smoke exposure.

It will kill you because you inhale more of the carbon monoxide than the smokers'. It's not immediate unless you grab the cigarette from his mouth. You might be killed not from the smoke inhalation but from strangulation.

not as much as they try to make everyone believe and its not worse for you then smoking.

Its funny, they keep raising taxes on cigarettes to raise money for the government, but they keep trying to eliminate the number of people who smoke.....is this smart?
