I hope that you are not inferring that catholics are gay.
but seriously, there are Christians out there that do not have any idea about what the love of God is.
they probably never read the scripture, judge not lest you be judged, or when Jesus said "let him without sin cast the first stone" the most bible they know is what the minister quotes to them, and they probably have a low self esteem.
having know and love many catholics, and gays, has shown me that they are not all that different from us other Christians.

There are many people out in the world that claim to be Christian but in reality they are not. I'm really sorry that you have been involved with them.
If you really want to know what a Christian is, then by all means e-mail me and we can chat about it.
I have been a Christian the most part of my life and I can only speak for myself, but I don't hate anyone and have never even thought about hating the Catholics.
As for the gays and homosexuals. I don't hate them either. I feel sorry for them for they have made a choice in this life that leads directly to the Lake of Fire..><>
Don't forget. Jesus Christ became our Passover and we are just 11 days away from the Most Highest Day to Celebrate for all Christians.><>

I am Catholic and I respect what the people think, believe and their sexual preferences. I always said this: I have interest in people from the waist up! What the people do from their waist down is their business. There are so many false Christians that they forget the main reason of our foundation. They play the role of God. They hate and judge people very hard for what they do and that's wrong. Those Christian that hate Catholics, hate homosexuals and everything that accordingly to their standards doesn't fit. I agree with you, I would like to see their response!!

For myself, at any rate, it is not a matter of 'hating" Catholics. Their beliefs, however, can not be supported by the Bible, nor by secular History. There might be a lot of things that you just don't know and are basing your accusations on ignorance. So far as Gays are concerned, the Bible teaches against it, and that is the stand a Christian should take. I guess that if someone were to take on the idea that robbing people was just fine and should not be considered a crime, would you agree to that? If not, then see if you can't see that when the Bible says that God calls something an abomination, then that is what it is, and the Bible says that such things are punishable by death. Aren't you glad that we live in this current age of the church, and grace, where as in the Old Testament, punishment came a lot faster?

I am not sure the people you think hate catholics really do hate catholics. They may, like Luther, Newton, and protestants in general for centuries, just disagrees with some of the catholics beliefs. I don't think catholics hate protestants when they say that the only way to salvation goes throught the catholic church. They just want to help protestants realize this, as they believe, fact. They want them to be saved too. This is not hatred, it is love!
When it comes to the gay question I think conservative protestants and catholics have much in common and share values.

No doubt about it. The same fundies that think they are the real Christians and think Catholics are a cult of goddess worshippers led by pedophiles and eunuchs, also want to put Gays back in the closet if not back in the concentration camp.
Of course, Catholics are a cult of goddess worshippers led by pedophiles and eunuchs, but I think the actual reason the fundies hate both Catholics and Gays, and especially hate Gay Catholics, is that fundies in fact hate everyone, often each other as much if not more than they hate non-fundies. So I wouldn't take it personally.

Actually, Kerry K, Catholicism is very much biblically based. Read Dave Armstrong or Scott Hahn, both former Protestants now Catholic.

One I don't bash homosexuals, not my thing but hey what you do in your own time isn't my business. I don't bash Catholics just the Catholic church, because I grew up one and disagree with a lot of things about it. Well that and stupid things the church does like disallow a first communion because a rice wafer was used rather than a wheat one(girl could'nt digest wheat products) by the Archdiocese Of Newark
