I have these problems since I was 13 or 14, now I'm 17. I get headaches when I'm hungry,especially if I have to wait a while . I get hungry like a lot, even after big meals I get hungry if I play sports. My headaches go away when I eat or have candy. I've almost or have passed out. It seems like I eat a lot, I'm a little over weight, but it seems like should be like 200 lbs. But if I don't eat, I get sick, so basically I have to eat. I get shaky sometimes or get very dizzy.
I'm not quiet sure what I have. Please help.

Sounds like you are having episodes of low blood sugar which COULD be a precursor to diabetes. Best thing to do is get your blood glucose tested. Otherwise, eat and exercise like you ARE diabetic. You can probably avoid the other symptoms that are likely to come along if you are heading in that direction.
Here's a tip. If everyone in the US and UK ate and exercised like the rural Asian folks do, we wouldn't have any diabetes, breast cancer, colon cancer, obesity, and several other anomalies that are so prevalent in western civilization due to our lousy diet and poor exercise habits. Do your homework, think about it, and get back to me.

There basic three symptoms of diabetes: increased thirst, a little excessive eating, and increased frequency of urinating, In medical terms, they're called polydipsia, polyphagia, and polyuria. Aside from these 3, other symptoms are:
1) gaining a lot of weight, then suddenly losing it after only a short period of time, even without dieting;
2) fruity body odor or breath - a sign of a complication of diabetes or what doctors call as diabetic ketoacidosis;
3) ants feasting in your urine (in case you left the toilet unflushed);
4) non-healing or slow healing wounds.
There are many other symptoms of diabetes. What I suggest if that you get a blood test, called FBS or fasting blood sugar. You have to fast for 8 hours (no food, including water!) then go to the hospital and have your blood checked.
It may also be worthwhile to note, that these symptoms may not be diabetes, but may be coming from your thyroid gland (a gland for metabolism located in front of your neck). I suggest a further consultation with your doctor, to be sure, and to be safe. Take care.

I've had Diabetes for over 20 years and that does sound like it. You really need to see your doctor to get an accurate diagnosis. In the mean time make sure you always have a little snack in your purse or on your person in case you start getting a headache or getting shaky. That snack could be a few nuts, not a lot though. You shouldn't overdo it. Go to a pharmacy and get some glucose tablets. They are in tablet form and you just chew them. If this is Diabetes then these tablets will bring your blood sugar up and keep you stable until your next meal. Please don't hesitate to get to your doctor though. Diabetes is something you shouldn't ignore.
Good luck.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It sounds more like you have glucose intolerance. However, the only one that can diagnose is your doctor. I would probably in the mean time be cautios of what you are consuming you didn't mention that. If you are 200 at 17 without guessing your height you may be putting your self at risk for type 2. Start eating more proteins, and get plenty of exercise. Try shedding a few pounds, and see a doctor. Take care

I am hypoglycemic and have had this condition since I was about 10 years old. This sounds exactly like my symptoms when I am having a hypoglycemic episode. You should see your doctor and then a dietitian that can help you prevent these episodes.
This is usually caused by a spike in your blood sugar from eating something that is high in sugar or carbs and then your blood sugar drops quickly.
****Kudos to the previous posting nursing student! You answered well! Good luck to you! I answer these questions to keep my mind fresh. It works really well when you get out in the field and are specialized in one area to keep up in other areas!****

Three obvious symptoms of diabetes are that you are very thirsty, very hungry and you pee ALOT. You are young and may want to ask your doctor to check you for Type 1 diabetes.

diabetes presents with three Ps:
polydypsia or excessive eating,
polyphagia or excessive eating
polyuria or excessing peeing
getting hungry a lot is due to decreased or impaired glucose production or increased breakdown of glucose. this is a condition known as hypoglycemia.
more importantly you should seek for a medical consult and undergo some lab tests to make sure and to be treated properly.
