Reduce the number of chillis next time. You could also scrape the seeds out of the chillis before adding them to the onions. Why make chilli con carne if you don't like hot food?
If you've already made the dish, serve it with a yogurt and cucumber salad - an Indian trick, but it works.

Add a little cream to the final dish about 5 minutes before serving, it will make the chilli appear milder and creamier

If you are using chili powder, get a mild chili powder, if you're using fresh chili's, only use the chili but not the seeds and only as much of the chili as you want (trial and error really) If you are using a packet mix or something a dollop of sour cream before you serve helps.
Enjoy!

next time you make it add some milk (you have always got milk) it makes the sauce less hot and thickens it a bit but remember to simmer it for a least 10 mins

potato will help to a certain extent but my taste is much hotter than my friends so I make sure I serve a good dollop of yoghurt for them to cool their serving.

Add grated mild chedder cheese. It's the easiest way and I think it actually tastes better that way.
