well it's probably not the healthiest choice, but it sure is good. :)

Anyhow, one serving (2 cups) of shrimp fried rice is estimated to contain 486.6 calories and 11.8 grams of fat. That's not too bad, but it's not something you should eat everyday.

All the fried rice is about the same, most the time only the Pork fried rice cooked with soy sauce. Just make sure you go to the busy restaurant so the shrimp is fresh :) A lot chinese eatting fried rice and they are just fine :)

Shrimp is not unhealthy, its only unhealthy if it is prepared with large amounts of fat and msg. Good Chinese restaurants don't use alot of oil or msg. Soy sauce is the chinese man's salt. Other than that its harmless. Do you enjoy it or do you focus on your health too much???? Close your eyes and enjoy a good meal.

yes---all fried rice is unhealthy
even if you don't add extra soy sauce
the soy sauce is already added to the rice while it's being stir-fried
maybe next time order plain rice and a veggie shrimp dish

Fried rice says it all. It will have oil in it, along with soy sauce. The best thing to get is steamed white rice and maybe a side of steamed veggies. :)

SHRIMP - cholesterol
FRIED - fat
RICE - carbohydrates

Triple the cholesterol and fat, and add huge amounts of sodium since you ordered from a delivery chinese food place. They are notorious for using substandard ingredients.

shouldn't be if you don't use too much oil, try using chicken broth instead
