We will be in tailand for 4 weeks in december 2007 and would like to try this experience.It doesn't matter north or south part off the country.

Yes. I live in Central Thailand and there are many "homestays" here.. however, more often than not I would call them small resorts or bungalow or cottage hotels as they are not really people's homes - - but plenty of places that do call themselves "homestays" - whatever the heck that is...

Hi, there are various types of homestay programs available in Thailand. It will be more of what kind of experience do you want? Different provinces will show you different aspects of their way of life. So each place and location will offer you different type of stay experience. There are many official homestay, as well as staying in people's home program. So if you like to get in touch with me, at thaitourinfo@yahoo.com, I may be able to help you find the links to contact the people to arrange homestay package to suit your need. There is time from now till Dec, but usually these homestay package can only accommodate a small group of people and so advance booking should be made to be assured of your booking.

You can find many good homestays in Thailand. I have friends in BKK in the north and in the east of Thailand. How long do you want to stay ?
