Diabetes is diabetes. For those statistics, you can contact the American Diabetes Association or the Center for Disease Control.

It's either Type1, Type 2, or Gestational. The term "sugar diabetes" is SO old school. I haven't heard that term used in years.

Poeple do not die from diabetes. I never heard of "sugar diabetes". If you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes and keep good control your chances are the same as everyone else. If you neglect it, however and don't take the meds properly and eat properly this will create high blood sugar levels which will cause diabetic complications. Today people can live a full long life with diabetes if they care for themselves properly. Cherie

This is the most recent I can find. The disease itself isn't really fatal, it just depends on how you take care of yourself.
