Start the job on Monday and go to the other interview. They won't notice if you are "overdressed" on Monday (because they don't know how you always dress, yet). Tell them that you have a previous appointment for whatever time your interview is. The other job may be a better fit -- you will never know unless you go to the interview. What if you get the job? Well, I think that it's fine to be honest with Job #1 and tell them that you received another offer for $X and you feel that it is a better fit for you. If Job #1 really values you, they may try to meet the offer from Job #2. If not... no harm done. Good luck!

Push the start date on Monday's job for Tuesday and go on that interview. Let them know on the interview that it would be great if you could know ASAP on the hiring. What ever you do don't act desperate, and don't tell them about the other job. Because they might feel that another candidate is available more so then you.

I would start the job on Monday, and imediately inform your supervisor that you have an appointment that had been scheduled before you knew you would be starting & could not be changed, and then keep the interview appt. It can take weeks from interview to job offer--if you get it. Good luck! and what career are you pursuing?

definately a delima, eh. Well the only thing i can think of is to call the interviewer of the great job and tell them the truth, that you start a new job on Monday but you still want to consider their company instead. ask if you can change the interview time.

Well it wouldn't be right to not show up to the job you have already been hired for. If I were you I would call the other job and reschedual the day for the interview. Because there are no guarentees in getting in the second job. Take the safe route!

Life is always filled with choices. If the interview doesn't interfere with your work day go. If it does its probably to late to correct the problem. Why did you agree to do both. Either way call the interviewing company and see if they are willing to reschedule because of a family emergency. If they aren't you are probably better off with the job you have.
Money isn't everything.

Job offers are rarely made at the interview. If it does happen though, ask if you can have some time to consider.
