At least it wakes you up. Most people are dead to the world and yet they are rattling the windows and setting new records for highest decibels.
Try Breathe Right strips. If that doesn't work, go see your doctor. You may need a sleep study.

My mom used to hear herself snoring before she was even asleep and then would wake up snoring. It was gross to hear her and it got worse after every baby. She had to fight the insurance company but they finally paid to have her tonsils taken out. She also had to go sleep at the hospital overnight hooked up for a sleep study and she had just enough sleep apnea that the insurance had to pay to treat it, even though the doctor said it was really mild. When they did finally take her tonsils out the doctor said they were so huge and so hard that there wasn't any way she couldn't snore. They were closing off the back of her throat as soon as she laid her head back.
I'm not saying this is what you have. But I do think there are a lot of things that can happen in the back of your throat that cause snoring and doctors these days have lots of ways to treat them. The next thing my mom's going to have done is something called a "somnoplasty" and they're going to use a laser to tighten up the stuff that is left so that she stops snoring all together. It's worth it to all of us for her to get a good night's sleep (and dad too!)

I don't mean to be rude but sometimes when people are a little 'heavier' than they perhaps should be, they automatically snore. My Dad recently lost over three stone and all snoring has stopped (according to my Mum). Otherwise you could have a blockage or something that's not serious so probably a trip to the Drs would help. There are nose strips and throat sprays you could also try and perhaps earplugs for your other half...

Apparently losing weight helps reduce or totally stop snoring, that could be a solution or you could go the chemist and buy some anti-snoring products. But don't use the essential oils, they taste rank and don't work.

Snoring can be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea. This is a medical condition that can vary in severity from mild to life threatening. Talk to your doctor about it. He may have you do a sleep study to determine if this is the cause and how severe it is.

You need to see the doc. Often snoring is caused by a medical problem that can be corrected. See your doc and get this checked out.

You can get those strips that you stick over your nose - they are brilliant - for snorers or when you have a stinking cold - they have a strong plastic strip that kinda bends away form your face so it pulls your nasal passages open - its awesome. That will sort your snoring out :) OR earplugs...
