After eating within 15 minutes I am feeling very poorly.
I am 28 weeks pregnant.
My sugar level is high after eating but then drops after 75 minutes. For that first hour I think I need something from the doctor because I am too ill to function and need to go to bed to sleep it off!
What could the doctor give me? Whats wrong with me.
Thanks so much.

Since you do check your sugar levels I assume you have diabetes or gestational diabetes. You need to call your OB/GYN and let them know what is going on with your sugar levels. This can be serious. I had this while pregnant with my twins and had to follow it closely.

Here is a link for you to read up about it! Good luck.

This is as much about your baby's health as it is yours. Call your obstetrician NOW. This could be very serious. No one can say for sure what he/she will recommend, because every situation is different. But you must go. Do not risk your baby's health, or life, by waiting until your problem grows worse. Pregnancy can bring about temporary problems like high blood pressure or diabetes that can be treated so you can deliver a healthy baby. Call your doctor now.

Are you a type one or type II or do you have gestational diabetes. I agree that you need to consult a phtsician but you may need a little regular insulin before the consumption of a meal.

You really need to go to the doc. I'm not trying to scare you, but, you could have pregnancy induced diabetes. And, it could cause complications if not treated. The good news is, it is managable during your pregnancy and under the supervision of your doc, you can have a healthy pregnancy and baby. SO, please go make an appointment today.
