All winter long, even in summer this is so rude. I have quit going to places like this unless I wear a coat, even in summer.

they may not actually turn the a/c up.... if there are fewer people in the building- at the same temperature- it will feel cooler because of less body heat-energy-whatever also if the ovens/stoves are off for the end of the night- that will take away quite a bit of warmth.

I still take a sweater in places with me (even in 90+ degree weather!) because I get cold after I eat a meal - your body temperature changes to digest your food... I don't feel like looking it up :)

I can't imagine a place would try to run you out by changing the air temperature... I would think running the vaccum would work much better :)

I totally have experienced this before! I understand that sometimes the help at the restaurant get hot from running food, but setting the temperature down so low is ridiculous! My boyfriend and I stopped going to one of our hometown restaurants because it was sold cold in the place we couldn't even enjoy our meals!!!

Last week we were at a restaurant that was cold with air conditioner wind blowing on our heads. I told the waitress and she agreed with me. She came back and said the manager told her she was crazy. I had to wear my jacket and hood all through dinner. Attractive!
My other pet peeve at restaurants is loud music. Usually they will turn it down if you ask nicely. Haven't had the same luck with temperature, though.

I've only noticed this whenever it is already late in the evening and the resturant staff wants to go home. Now, I just try and go out to eat a little earlier. If this happens to you again, I suggest that you complain to the manager. My husband did this once at Olive Garden and they gave us a gift certificate for $100.

no i have not noticed. Anyway you are a woman. Can you tell me why you need to go to a restaurant? You need to be at your house looking after your kids and serving your husband. If you are not married then you should be all the more in your house with your parents. You have no business to be loitering in the restaurant. Three cheers to the owner of that particular restaurant
