my mum has carpel tunnel syndrome,she has had injections to help it but they never worked so they booked her in for an operation on it.she then also developed a lump on her ankel that the said was a ganglian and they would need to cut it out so they will combine both operations into one.they told her they will keep her awake through this as she has brital ashma,enphysemia and that putting her asleep could cause a servere ashma attack,she went for the operation this morning and they have now said that they aint sure if it really is a ganglian and need to do a biopsy instead.they are also now going to put her to sleep.it really worried me now.what if something goes wrong,,,you hear how crap hospitals are now and can never put your trust in them

The chances are high that she will be just fine at back at home by now!

Don't worry. She will be fine. The surgery she is getting is really minor. They are professionals. They wouldn't risk your mother's life if they thought she might die from being put to sleep.

My mother had emergency major heart surgury last Christmas at the age of 55. She had a 35% chance of not making it through the surgury. It is over a year later now and she will return to work next month. If she can make, your mother surely will too. Good luck!! :)
