I've had asthma most of my life. Sometimes it's better than others. What I've learned from everything I've been through is that asthma is never "cured". If you have allergies that are behind your attacks then you can take allergy shots and get better at dealing with the allergies, but you still have asthma and there might be something else that comes along in your life that can trigger an attack.
In my case things are triggered by cigarette smoke and mold, especially when it's really rainy in the spring and fall. I can't even go hug my grandma who smokes like a fiend without getting wheezy. She thinks it's OK to "go over there" to smoke when we go out as a family. But I'm still breathing the same air. I also can't help the molds that grow outside in the spring and fall...unless I move to Arizona or something.
But then again, I know what will trigger my attacks and I'm old enough to avoid a lot of the triggers. It may not ever be cured, but it will be under control. Asmanex is my friend and the whole "smoke-free" push in society is helping me more than anything else. I'm sure your son will grow up to understand his condition and know how to control it.

Go out of the big cities every weekend, get fresh air, hike lightly (exercise), do yoga (vinyasa), swim- light expercises that keep you in shape and help you with breathing. take your inhaler with you. Use a humidifier for your room, or an essence burner, and use eucalyptus oil. I would suggest seeing various doctors to get professional opinions from different people. My mom has asthma, and I have sport-triggered asthma (if I do exercise a lot for too long without stopping and drinking water). A lot of it is psychological... when you have an attack, you know it, an you get even more anxious... so even if the attack has passed, you prolong the attack. I would suggest a change in lifestyle, as well medical opinions from many doctors. They make specially bed sheets and pillows, and cleaning products for people with asthma here in the US. Perhaps you can look into that as well, it may make life at home more comfortable. There is no definite cure for asthma, so you should try working around it. There are many resources available online that can give you helpful tips.

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.
I cured my Asthma the natural way?

No, there is no cure for asthma. There are plenty of things out there to help prevent it though. He is only 11. My kids had asthma until their later teens. Basically, they have it no more although one has to use a puffer now and then. I think that your doctor has a poor outlook.

If the child has got asthma as an allergy, then it can be cured but in case if it is inherited, then the child can be kept on medications and conditions that do not aggrevate the asthma, it may be of help to consult an ayurvedic practitioner who has better knowledge of chikitsa ie medicine and panchakarma as it has given good results to such patients, and it will be of help to the breathless kid. good luck!

There is no permanent cure for asthma....I suggest you to let him swim regularly....or do some basic exercise like walk .....from the begining..it can be very hard to do it.,but step by step.....you will see the result......especially swimming..tell the insructor that your son has asthma....i don't guarantee you 100% will not come bak again but will decrese the time of asthma happen....
Try not to use medication if small asthma happen....try to recover by himself by breath slowly and don't be frighthen.....
I have been seeing for a few cases......
hope this help...

you have to know what are the allergens that can trigger his asthma attacks. have him tested by an allergist. once they are determined they can be avoided to lessen, to control or even totally stop his attacks. should it be unfortunate that he has to live with it throughout his life, with proper treatment and knowledge, asthma is manageable. it would also help a great deal to boost his immune system by taking anti-oxidant vitamins that will protect him from other common illnesses such as the cold which may make matters worse.

There is no permanent cure for Asthma .. the patient just has to be aware of their 'triggers' for the Asthma Attack, and to take precautions so that their exposure to those 'triggers' is limited.

The best thing you can do for him is to get rid of all of your toxic cleaners and laundry products. Most of these are registered pesticides. Switch to all natural cleaners and take the old products to your local toxic waste recycling plant to dispose of them. Once you have the new stuff in the house send him somewhere for the day and thoroughly clean every surface in your house and shampoo the carpets and furniture with the new stuff too. Wash all of his clothes and bedding in the new landry products. Be sure you have good air purifiers in the house to help too. He should take a good mulitvitamin supplement that is well absorbed by his body daily too.
