Yes, it is possible to pass HPV on to someone else even if you have not had an outbreak.
Not to mention the other person could be passing other HPV serotypes to you.
There are about 100 serotypes or so of HPV(human papilloma virus) of those about 2 serotypes #'s 16 & 18 are the ones that cause cervical cancer. There could be more cancer causing serotypes I don't know about.
Alot of people who are carriers of HPV or herpes do not have symptoms or outbreaks which is why protection is so important.
If you and your partner both have HPV be aware that if you don't use protection...you are now sharing different serotypes. Your serotype may cause your partner an outbreak and vise versa. Everyone's immune system is not the same.
Women should have yearly pap smears to monitor HPV or other STD's.
If cancerous cells are suspected then a biopsy is taken and the cancerous cells removed, this is called a colposcopy. If too many cancerous cells are seen then they use other procedures to remove even more cells.
For more information you can check out the website below, you are not alone.
p.s. There is a new thing issue with HPV...due to oral sex more people are being found to have esophageal cancer. It appears that HPV can cause cancer of the esophagus(throat area) due to oral sex. Sorry...this is what my exroommate a medical doctor told me is becoming a new trend at the hospitals.

The longer you go on with out any out breaks the less likely you'll be infected. Just always wear protection and always let youre partners know.
HPV is not a bad thing...most people have it and don't even know it. Keep up your immune system, exersice, eat healthy.
I've known people to have a outbreak after 10-12 years of no outbreaks at all.
Good luck!!

Actually, it is still possible to pass it over to someone else. If you touched yourself in the pubic area, didn't wash the hand, touch someone else's hand, and that person brings the hand to his/her mouth or pubic area, then you gave it to that person. It doesn't matter how you do it. Sometimes a person would get hpv, and get lucky by not having symptoms for SUCH a long time. But then there's Valtrex, which can and does prevent you from having any symptoms for possibly the rest of your life. That still does not prevent other people from getting infected. Sorry.

HPV in most cases do not have any outward signs or symptoms of infection and most people who are infected don't even know they are infected because of this. In some cases warts appear but most of the time appear several weeks after infection. The virus can be passed on at any time by sexual contact regardless of "outbreaks" and precautions should be taken when in sexual contact with an infected person. Females are especially at risk with this virus since it is known to lead to cervical cancer in some cases so doctor intervention is necessary. Take care

I got clinically diagnosed with genital herpes (type 2) about five yrs ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I realize loads of girls will say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/tROd9 everything changed.
Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a packed cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the World.

yes definitely.!!! just because you carry the hpv virus, you dont always have to have symptoms. you could be a silent carrier who never show any symptoms. many many people have the virus and dont even know it.

Yes. You still carry the virus, you just don't have an active outbreak.
