NO you can not get HIV or AIDS from someone who does not have it. The only ways that you can get HIV is thru unprotected sex with someone who is infected, thru blood transfusion with bad blood, or sharing needles. People say that you can get AIDS from toliet seats, salvia, hugging, or other casual contact but nothing has been proven that this is true. I believe it is just a myth.

Second of all, you should not be having sex without using protection. AIDS is so rapid that one in three people have HIV. Some people have it and does not even know it. You can have the virus for up to 10 years maybe longer before you show any effects. This is why every one should get tested every 6 months or yearly. You do not have to use your name and you can get tested at a local health dept. One in three, just imagine the staduim at a superbowl game and look at all those people and imagine that one in three have HIV. It is pretty scary!!!!!! A condom does help protect against a lot of STDs, but like herpes can still be transmitted weather you use a condom or not.

Please use a new condom every time you have sex. It could save your life.

I have been married for 2 years and still get tested every six months.

NO... That is impossible.
However, people can be infected with HIV/AIDS and be unaware that they are infected. Also, they may have been infected within the past 3-6 months because the test doesn't always show positive immediately. Also, there is a possibility of a "falsely negative" HIV test. It is always best to use "protection" although even condoms aren't 100% safe, as I'm sure you know. They still let in herpes, warts, and some HIV and stuff.

You can't catch something from someone who doesn't have it. Unprotected sex is never a good idea. But if that person has no STD's or HIV/AIDS, then you can't catch it from them.

If the person who you are having sex with does not have the virus, then no. You can't get it if the other person doesn't have it. It does not spontaneously appear in random people. I fear for the future of our children who have health teachers telling them that it happens when different blood types mix.

Contrary to what the ignorant dickslaps passing along misinformation to you have posted, as with any sexually transmitted disease, one of the parties must be infected before it can be passed onto the other.

no you cannot.......if they truly do not have the virus (and they arent just telling you that they dont) and you dont have the virus then the virus is not present for either party to contract....but for the sake of any other disease and pregnancy please please please use protection!!!
