Because even animals eat other animals...I guess I tend to lean towards the statement that "it's natural" and human nature to eat animals. We really don't need to eat animals because we have so many other options. Unfortunately, we are in the habit of this practice and as for myself...I love animals dearly but I also eat meat and seafood. I am torn on this issue but I guess it's always going to be available to eat and they're not going to stop killing animals on my behalf. So, I will continue to enjoy the foods I like. May as well...

This is really a matter of personal opinion and how important animals are to you. I would not necessarily say that meat is murder but their existence is not solely for meat either. This is just my personal opinion. No one can really answer this question except you so do some research and make a decision.

Murder refers to human being created in the image of God (which animals were not). However, the ideal diet for human beings is fruit, nuts, and grains. This is the original diet God gave to man before sin. After the Floor, God gave permission for man to eat meat (there was nothing else) and He added vegetables to the diet. However, that permission came with the prohibition against eating the fat and the blood. The reason for prohibiting consumption of blood relates to the Commandment not to commit murder, which is that blood represents life, which man cannot create. Therefore, he should not take life or eat what supports life. This is all contained in the Bible, and I hope the information is helpful to you.

My theory is: Like animals, people used to eat meat to survive. They needed to eat it. However, now that we can make fake meat and stuff, we don't need to eat meat anymore. I'm not a vegetarian yet, but I'm seriously considering it.

If that was the case, then why were many dinosaurs herbivores? And why are our teeth really NOT designed for eating meat? And if you want to say that they were put here to eat, then I could say that YOU were put here for ME to eat. (not threatening, just making a point) It's just not logical to be a meat eater. Just because animals are put here doesnt mean its to kill them and eat them, what the heck did they ever do to you?

This is an interesting question since it depends on morals. As far as The bible is concerned Animals are for the use of man but also to be cared for. Dont kill for no purpose

other than religious people Animals eat eachother all the time, some known as carnivores that eat only the meat of other living things, does anyone feel like bothering administering the death sentence to Animals for murdering eachother to eat? I guess we could have a large guiltless barbecue for rest of us

So its fine to enjoy as food, for sport or some methods of killing anmals for food become the discussion

What makes meat so gross is the torture animals are put through the whole process, and that's murder to me.

Murder is unlawful killing of a human. Killing an animal is neither unlawful nor killing of a human, so it's not murder.

But, animals weren't created for us to eat, we were created to eat them, if you catch my drift.
I'm not a believer in God creating animals for us, I think they evolved, like us, and nowhere in their evolution was their any will to be eaten. On the other hand, in our evolution we evolved so that we could use their flesh as food, whether they like it or not.

Would you eat a dog, cat, parrot, giraff, elephant, lion, tiger, bear, etc? So why a cow, a chicken, a pig, or a turkey? Animals are not created to eat. Horses were the original car. Dogs are used to save human life by tracking their scent in rescue missions. Cows give the gift of milk. Chickens give the gift of eggs. But selfish humans don't think thats enough-they have to kill them to satisfy their greedy appetites.
