The pear actually grows in the bottle. They put the bottle on the branch while the pear is small and then let it grow in there.

You have to put the bottle on a pear bud while its still on the tree. as the pear grows it is in the bottle.

You have to tie the bottle to the bud.As the fruit grows it grows into the bottle.Then cut the stem off and VOILA you have a pear in a bottle.
