for my family only swt16, i rented a patio area in a hotel, with food stations, with little finger sandwiches, fruit cups, drinks, and chips (stuff like that) but there just gonna be standing, and mingling, and socializing. im afraid cuz usually these are the kind of people who are always at buffets and now its like wtf, u know? (theyre all over 40 yrs old)

just let everybody know that only finger foods are being served

40 is not old--it's the new 30!
If they are real drinkers, they will be fine.
Us OLD people know how to handle a cocktail party--we've been going to them longer than YOU have been breathing

Absolutely !! Cocktail parties are for all ages and actually I know the older ones who have them alot more than younger people.
