No. Diabetes is a genetic disorder. The body does not produce enough insulin to manage the intake of sugar into the body. It is passed down genetically, through family members.
It is not contagious.
If this is for a report, then the answer is no.
If you're worried because you kissed someone with diabetes, then don't worry, you're fine :)
Ignore the guy who said "Is this for real". Some people forget that not everyone can know everything :)
Hope this helps.

Firstly, I highly recommend a 'spell check' next time lol ;0)
The answer to your question is of course, no you cannot 'catch diabetes. The secret to diabetes is as they say, in the genes. And while genes do play a huge part, they only function by being activated. Diet & nutrition play a critical role in determining which genes, good or bad, get expressed.
In other words, by eating a whole foods, plant based diet (meaning MOSTLY & predominantly vegetarian) a person can keep from getting type 2 diabetes. Type 1 usually happens when cows milk is fed to an infant at too early of an age. For further information, (and to totally impress your teachers by your extensive knowledge on the subject,) read "The China Study"

No diabetes is not like a cold. I have diabetes and a few years ago my son did his history fair report on diabetes (he was 8 at the time) but he learned alot and so did his classmates. Get a good book on diabetes and that will help you with the report.

Well yes, indirectly.
Somewhere in my ancestry a parent or grandparent kissed someone - and eventually I was born with diabetes in my genes.
Then, in my own case, I kissed a few too many donuts and large fries over several years.

Not diabetes but you can get some *sweet* from kissing someone if the person is your that special person. You know what I mean :-). And sweet is always bad for diabetes person - i hope you know that.
Diabetes, is not contageous disease but you should check on your carb intake and regular activities (exercise) if someone in your family (like your parents or siblings) is suffering this disease.

Diabetes cannot be transmitted from one person to another in any way, not by blood, not by sex, not by kissing. It does have a tendency to run in families.
