I know I can keep my maiden name on my passport if I want (I just reserve plane tickets in that name), and I know how to change it to my married name. I am wondering if it is possible for me to have my maiden name on my passport WITH the married name, but NOT hyphenated. Do I use my maiden name as my middle name on the form (First Maiden Married) or do I just deal with it and change it to First Middle Married? I like my maiden name, even though it is long and not first-name-like as is the case of my current middle name. If I change my PP to First Maiden Married, can I still keep my real middle name, and apply as: First Middle Maiden Married?
Also, am I obliged to change my SS card name (the number stays the same though) before I change my passport?
If I keep my passport in my maiden name until expiration in 2010, will I have problems if I try to go through US and French customs at the same time as my EU national husband? Can I go through the EU line with him on my US passport?

ok, I know which forms I need, and it's been months that we're married... I would like to just have one legal document with both names, instead of having to have everything translated (I live in Europe, but from USA), because sometimes I need my maiden name, and sometimes my married name. Can I put my maiden name in place of my middle name and that be ok? BTW, I am legally allowed to use whichever name, so it's ambiguous to say which is the legal name.
