Really... I haven't heard about this.
But, I guess it makes sense... I've read somewhere that Chinese food is the second most ordered takeout food, right behind pizza.
Also, with all the concerns about fast food and deep frying, which Chinese food tends to rely on, plus the high sodium content in soy sauce and msg.
People are bound to start bringing up the healthiness of Chinese food again.

We all know Chinese food is generally considered healthy by it's ingredients however, there are some bad points! The MSG is a killer ingredient that is used strictly as a flavor enhancement but plays havoc on the human body! The Chinese also use a lot of oil that is not Olive Oil! The meat has always been a questionable ingredient-speculated as rat or cat! (they use both in China!)
I don't know where you're located but here in upstate New York they are also famous for buffets where the food is not up to health department standards! Temperature would be the most critical as it is supposed to be 140 degree farenheit minimum when served! They also leave refrigerated foods on the buffet unrefrigerated! It's almost a guaranteed food born illness for anyone who chooses to eat in one of the buffets!
Another issue is all the Chinese are coming to America and opening restaurants so we are becoming over whelmed with Chinese eateries that are also tax exempt for the first seven years!

It goes in cycles- first they blamed McDonald's and all the fast food places, then Starbucks and places that sell smoothies, so now I guess it's the Chinese restaurants' turn. I just wonder what will be next.
I love Chinese food, but I've always known it's very salty and greasy, so I limit my portions.
People should be able to tell that eating 5 big Macs, drinking 40 ounces of whipped cream with a shot of coffee, or eating 2 pounds of deep fried green beans is not healthy.
I guess we should blame our mentality: "I'm not fat because I eat too much and I don't pay attention to what I eat, I'm fat because the evil (insert name here) serves fattening food"

Get the cake--you could constantly have pizza later, like next week or some thing for some social gathering greater concern-free than this. And the chinese language food? Please, notwithstanding if it became an entire buffet, you would be hungry 0.5 an hour later, and who desires that on a *Birthday*? Get the cake. Sneak in some Mountain Dew--the best things, no longer the load loss application--because it will pass with the chocolate cake. bounce off the ceiling including your twin from the blended sugar and caffiene/theobromine rush (from the chocolate, that is meant to be in there, fantastically in darkish goodies). in short words: it incredibly is a *social gathering*. stay a sprint and act like it, please. i'm beneficial your clone will thank you interior the morning.

Yes, I am wondering... Not why, but (like you)wondering why it is all of a sudden... The way it is prepared in restaurants, it's terrible. I used to work in a very nice Chinese place, and although it tasted great, it was full of salt, MSG (a different type of salt) and oil... lots of fat. When my wife wanted me to help her lose some weight, I told her no more Chinese food... Those nice salads that were very popular for a while, like the sesame chicken salad... HIGH in fat. the chicken meat is NOT LEAN, and the dressing is mostly OIL... I don't know who thought it was ok... Steamed rice and steamed vegetables with Asian spices, fine... But no boneless chicken, sweet and sour chicken, stir fry anything, or egg-roll type anything. very high in salt and fat.

I wouldn't worry. the chinese have been eating it for quite sometime.
This goes around in cycles. Everytime somebody comes up with a new study people get up in arms, today it's chinese food, tomorow it might be tacos. You watch in about a month or so there will be a new study showing the benefits of chinese food

All fast food restaurants are becoming criticized because we are trying to become more health conscious. That's why they are banning partially hydrogenized oils in NY. I'm glad to have attention like that brought to me. Some people don't realize that because they are eating vegetables in a gravy, that it's healthy. People should be informed in what they are eating. They still have the option to eat it or not. :)
