It was meat sliced thin and about 3 inches long. It was dark in color, without any fat at all and tasted sweet.

My Korean coworker taught me how to make Bulgogi... which is thinly sliced beef cooked with onions, soy sauce, garlic, toasted sesame seed oil and sugar. All to taste. It was surprisingly simple.

Roughly it worked out to
1 lb of thinly sliced beef (paper thin)
1 small onion sliced
2 cloved of garlic, crushed
2 tablespoon oil to start the pan-frying process
1 Tablesppon of sesame seed oil
2 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Tablespoon Soy

Start panfrying the onions and garlic, add the beef as it cooked down add the rest of the ingredients. The soy and sugar is up to an individuals preference. Also, he said that some people put red pepper flakes in the dish. His wife didn't.

In Korean restaurants, they marinade the beef in the mixture and cook it on the grill. It's pretty good fun when you can find a restaurant communal grill at your table. Sort of a group activity.
